Helpful Wedding Day Hair Tips
-It’s your wedding day so if you are going to be extra, today is the day to do it. That’s why I almost always recommend hair extensions to enhance your hair style. With that being said, you want to feel like you. So if extensions don’t feel right to you then skip them!
-When looking for hair inspiration pics it’s best to select something from your stylists portfolio and choosing photos with your hair color.
-Doing a trial isn’t required but certainly encouraged. You may think you want one style but then realize it just doesn’t suit you. Comfort level, face shape, hair length, fullness and color can make all the difference.
-Hair accessories are a great addition but selecting the right ones for your particular style is important. For instance, consider dainty pins vs. a big hair comb that may weigh down your hair style and cover all the details.
-Consider face framing pieces to accentuate your facial features. See your hair cutting stylist prior to trial.
How To Prepare For Trial & Wedding Day
-When prepping your hair to be styled, I recommend clean and completely dry hair. You can wash your hair either the night before or the morning of. Avoid using any products in your hair. If your hair is naturally curly or wavy please blow dry smooth.
-If using clip in extensions make sure they are clean as well.
-If you prefer to use your natural curls, then follow your usual hair routine and add products that work well with your curls.
-Do you tend to have oily hair? If it’s hard to cleanse the oils and build up from your hair consider skipping the conditioner and shampooing your hair twice. I recommend using Sally’s generic Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo.
-Wear clothes you can easily take off without disturbing your hair. Such as a button down shirt or robe. On trial day wearing white is ideal.
-Unbox and layout hair extensions and/or hair accessories so they are ready to go.
-On wedding day any steaming should be done prior to your hair being styled.
-On wedding day please provide adequate lighting, working space and locate outlets that can be used.
